2 Killed in House Fire in Kokomo

At Least 4 Other People Hurt; Fire Still Being Investigated

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Two people are dead and at least four others were injured in a house fire in Kokomo early Christmas Eve morning. 

Firefighters were called to the home on North Morrison Street just after 3:30 a.m. When they arrived on the scene the home already up in flames. 

Five family members were taken from the scene to a local hospital. Two of them later died. There is no word on the conditions of the remaining victims. A firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Their conditions is unknown at this time. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
