About Ten People Injured During Linton Fireworks Show

The Linton Police Chief says a firework didn't go off until it had fallen to the ground near the crowd.

LINTON, Ind. – Firefighters say about ten people were injured Tuesday night during a fireworks show in Linton.

The Linton Fire Chief told the Greene County Daily World that one of the fireworks was shot into the air, but did not explode until it fell back to the ground at Humphrey’s Park.

Firefighters say those who were injured had minor burns with some people taken to the hospital for treatment.  Linton’s Fire Chief says the firework went under a vehicle which protected more people from being injured.
