Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a murder in Fishers.

Corbin Montgomery, 18, was charged with killing another 18-year-old, Connor Shockley, after what police say was a fight outside a home in the Harrison Green neighborhood.  Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger says officers were called to the house near Harrison Parkway and Lantern Road around 11pm Sunday and arrived to find Shockley lying face down in the yard.  Weger says Shockey had been stabbed, and that Montgomery was taken into custody at the scene; preliminary charges were filed this morning.

No other information has been released, with Weger referring questions to the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office, who have also not commented further.

It's only the second murder in the history of Fishers, and the first since 1996 - Fishers is typically rated as one of the safest cities in the U.S.
