An autopsy was conducted Tuesday on the partially decomposed body found in a trailer Monday in Montgomery County.
Indiana State Police say the decomposition of the body has prevented a positive identification of the body but it's believed to be that of a middle-aged white male. The results of the autopsy are inconclusive with toxicology results pending.
The body was found Sunday in a trailer in the 8100 block of East County Road 900 South near Ladoga, Indiana. State Police say a relative of the land owner was attempting to dismantle the trailer to salvage scrap metal when he discovered the body.
Police say there were no immediate signs of foul play but foul play is not being ruled out. The investigation continues and State Police say it could take weeks to complete. State Police and the Montgomery County Coroner's Office will be using DNA testing to attempt to identify the remains but that will also take several weeks to complete.
