Bricks of Heroin and Fentanyl and a Federal Indictment

IMPD says they're working with the feds to take dealers down. Gabriel McQuay may be going up.

INDIANAPOLIS--Bricks of heroin and fentanyl were part of a drug bust in Indianapolis in January. IMPD says the man they busted has been indicted by a federal grand jury and charged with dealing drugs and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

IMPD said they got a tip that Gabriel McQuay, 36, was dealing in an area near 6900 Michigan Rd., near a church and several restaurants.

They were able to have undercover officers make drug buys, got a warrant for McQuay's house and found 250 grams of heroin/fentanyl and a stolen .40 caliber, Glock model 22 handgun.

IMPD said they are working with the DEA, using a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) initiative. This partnership between local and federal agencies seeks to identify and hold accountable those persons and drug trafficking organizations who terrorize communities by dealing narcotics, said a news release from IMPD.
