CBD Oil Bill Signed Into Law By Governor Holcomb

The bill makes the use and sale of the cannabis derivative legal in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS -- It will be legal to sell and use CBD oil across the state starting in July.

Governor Eric Holcomb signed a bill legalizing CBD Oil into law on Wednesday. The bill makes legal both the sale of CBD oil and its medical use. The measure was overwhelmingly approved by both the House and Senate in the closing hours of this year's legislative session.

The new law also clears up some confusion from the 2017 session when the General Assembly passed a similar bill, but forgot to include making it legal to sell in Indiana.

“Indiana lawmakers delivered a bill that ensures Hoosiers who benefit from CBD oil can access it," said Holcomb. "The bill provides much-needed clarity, with labeling requirements and a 0.3% THC limit on CBD products. I’m grateful for the General Assembly’s hard work to bring me a bill to address the needs expressed by our citizens.”
