Central Indiana Home Prices Up From Last Year

Central Indiana home prices are continuing to rise. 

Realtor F.C. Tucker reports average home sale prices came within striking distance of $169,000 in May.  That's up seven percent compared to May of last year. 

Most of the nine counties that Tucker tracks have seen a steady rise in home prices this year compared to the first half of 2013. 

Shelby county led the way with a 24.2 percent increase in average home sale prices.  Boone followed with a 9.2 percent increase.  Madison and Morgan counties saw decreases.
