Indianapolis City County Council Republicans are calling on Democrats to move forward on Mayor Greg Ballard's $350 million Rebuild Indy2 plan.

Councilman Michael McQuillen says the city has a crumbling infrastructure that needs to be addressed. He says Council's approval of $16 million in emergency road repairs are just the beginning. He says council needs to come up with either an "up or down vote" on Rebuild Indy2.

McQuillen says the city can issue bonds and has the chance to get $140 million in federal funding to help finance the project. However, he says council needs to act quickly while the funds are available. At this point, McQuillen says council needs to reintroduce the project because one part of the measure didn't pass and two others are stuck in committee.
