Clerk Shot During Robbery At Southport Gas Station

Police say the clerk was working at the Phillips 66 gas station at Stop 11 and Madison Avenue when he was shot around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man is in the hospital after police say he was shot during a robbery while working at a Southport gas station.

IMPD says the clerk was working at the Phillips 66 gas station at Stop 11 and Madison Avenue when he was shot around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say the man walked to a nearby apartment and called 911.  He is now in critical condition at Eskanazi Hospital.

Metro Police are now looking for the shooter.
