Councilman Jeff Miller Attacked at City-County Building
INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis City-County Councilman Jeff Miller is recovering after being attacked Monday during an alcohol board meeting at the City-County Building.
Marion County Sheriff's Deputies at the building arrested Jeffery Moe, 51, on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, strangulation and confinement.
Moe is the owner of Lenny's Gentlemen's Club in Indy's Old Southside Neighborhood. Miller, who represents areas of Downtown, testified against Moe's business in 2015.
IndyStar reporter Ryan Martin says that during the attack, Moe accused Miller of trying to "end his business":
That's apparently referencing an ongoing battle over alcohol licensing. Miller, who represents several Downtown neighborhoods, testified against Moe's business in a 2015 hearing. A series of appeals led to an Indiana Court of Appeals decision Feb. 20 against Moe.

Moe has since bonded out of jail.
Miller was seen on security cameras holding his head immediately after the confrontration ended. He was checked out by EMS and allowed to return to work, reports WTHR.
Councilman Miller is the same Jeff Miller who faces multiple child molestation charges. The criminal case does not appear to be linked to Monday's attack.
