Fire Strikes Indianapolis Three Times

IFD says two were arson

Indianapolis Fire Department firefighters were in their boots and on their toes as three fires were battled Saturday morning.  Firefighters say two of the blazes were labeled as arson.  They are asking anyone with information about either of the fires to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS or Text Information to INDYCS at 274627. Tips can be given anonymously and up to $1,000 reward can be claimed for information leading to an arrest for the crime of Arson.  One of the fires was reported at the Pickwick Apartments near I-465 on the city's far north side.  Another was a single-family dwelling in the 3000 block of Pawnee Drive.  The third was reported in in the 2500 block of Shelby Street, where three puppies were rescued.  No one was reported injured seriously, but a woman was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be checked out.
