INDIANAPOLIS – A heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Indianapolis for most of Indiana from 12 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The high is expected to reach 94, but with the humidity, it could feel as hot as 105.

The heat and humid could be dangerous, especially for children, the elderly and pets.

Doctors recommend that if you have to be outdoors during the heat of the afternoon, to drink plenty of water, wear loose-fitting clothing, apply plenty of sunscreen with a high SPF and limit strenuous exercise or activity.

In addition, health officers also say you should check on relatives and neighbors who may be elderly or have health issues.
