IFD: Northside House Fire Ruled Arson

Investigators say a near north side house fire was intentionally set.

Flames caused an estimated $40,000 in damage to the home in the 800 block of Eugene Street around 11:15 p.m. Friday. That’s just south of Crown Hill Cemetery, near 30th and MLK.

No one was hurt, but there was some disruption to the power lines nearby.

Fire crews had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes. Now arson investigators will try to figure out who set the fire.
