IMPD Blocks Off Neighborhood In Search For Pursuit Suspects On South side

The chase started at around 3:30, police are not saying why they were chasing the suspects

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police have blockaded off a residential neighborhood while they search for two suspects who led police on a chase across the south side.

The chase began around 3:30 p.m. Police said the suspect fled from officers for an unknown reason.

The suspect led police on a winding chase around the south side, first heading south on McFarland Road and then going east on Edgewood Avenue across I-65. The suspect then turned northbound on Gray Road, eventually turning westbound on Thompson Road and northbound on Carson Avenue before again abruptly turning southbound on Keystone Avenue.

The suspect made several turns into and out of the Dodrill Creek neighborhood near Keystone Avenue and Thompson Road – driving through several yards at one point – before ditching the vehicle near Keystone and Depauw Road.
