IMPD Investigates Indy's First Murder of 2018.

Officers say Rodriguez Anderson, 27, was found dead in a car near East 36th and Sutherland Ave. Wednesday morning.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a man's death believed to be the first murder of 2018 in the Circle City.

Officers found Rodriguez Anderson, 27, dead in the passenger seat of a car at the 3600 block of Schofield Avenue, not far from East 36th and Sutherland Avenue, around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the man did not have any identification on him.  Investigators believe the car was dropped off at the area after the man was killed.  

IMPD is asking the public for any information that could help solve this crime by calling 317-262-TIPS.
