IUPUI Student in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car
INDIANAPOLIS--An IUPUI student is in critical condition after a crash Tuesday evening near campus.
An IMPD spokesperson said it happened when a southbound vehicle disregarded a light at the intersection and struck a 19-year-old woman in the crosswalk.
First responders were called to the scene at the intersection of N. West St. and W. Michigan St. at about 7:21 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the student was crossing West St. when a driver going northbound on the road struck them. They also say that driver then struck another car.
