Lafayette Police Have Found Missing 12-Year-Old Girl

She had gone missing after school on Tuesday

A missing 12-year old junior high school student has been found safe and sound,  Lafayette Police have not yet indicated where or how she was found, but they do say she's okay.

Police had been asking for the public's help in locating the missing girl.

Selena Hawkins, a student at Tecumseh Junior High School in Lafayette, did not arrive home from school Tuesday.  She is a white female, 5'1" tall and 125 pounds.

Before being found safe, Selena was last seen wearing a blue shirt, tan pants and pink and gray high-top shoes, and carrying a lime green backpack.
