Lafayette Police Searching for Missing Woman Forced into Car

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Lafayette police are looking for a woman forced into the back of a vehicle.

Police said the woman disappeared around 8 p.m. near Melbourne Road and Dearborn Street. She was described as a heavy set white woman, about 17 or 18 years old, wearing a green shirt and tan shorts.

Officers said she was forcefully put into a black or blue two-door Honda Civic by a heavy set white male who was described as bald with a goatee.

Police said the vehicle left northbound on Melbourne Road.
