Lawsuit Filing: Isaac Haas Lied About Having STD Before Sexual Encounter
LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A former Purdue basketball player is being sued.
Isaac Haas is at the center of a civil suit filed by a women he had a sexual encounter with in 2017. The Journal & Courier reports, the woman, identified as Alyssa Chambers, says Haas lied to her about having an STD before hooking up.
According to the lawsuit filing, Haas told Chambers that he had been treated for Chlamydia and was told he was clean by Purdue University Student Health Services. Chambers says she was infected with herpes after having sexual relations with Haas between May and June of 2017.
The filing says Haas told Chambers he was recently treated for Chlamydia at Purdue University Student Health Services and that he was clean before their encounter. Chambers is seeking 1-million-dollars in damages.
Haas was a key player for the Purdue University men's basketball team last season. He was injured in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and was forced to sit out the remainder of the tournament.
