Man Dies After Showing Up at Indy Hospital With Gunshot Wound

The incident happened Sunday afternoon, but details of how it happened are still unclear.

INDIANAPOLIS A person is dead after showing up at an Indianapolis hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound Sunday afternoon. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say the person showed up at the Community North Hospital just before 8 p.m. and admitted in critical condition. 

That person died a short time later. Their identity is unknown at this time. 

Police believe the shooting happened in the area of Biscayne Road and Bel Air Drive, but they don't know what caused the shooting or how it happened yet.
