The latest closings come amid rumors of financial trouble and several other closures since the beginning of the year.

The most recent closing announcements were the stores on State Road 9 in Greenfield and 21st Street and Post Road in Indianapolis. Both of those stores are scheduled to close by 5 p.m. May 6.

Before the whirlwind of closures began in January, the company had over 70 Marsh Supermarkets and O’Malia Food Markets in Indiana and Ohio.

Marsh has been an Indiana staple since the company opened their first store in Muncie in 1931. Their headquarters is currently in Indianapolis.
