Morristown Couple Celebrates Wedding Engagement During Colts Tailgating

Jason and Danielle Ebbert got engaged in front of the Colts Disciples tailgating group before a home game two years ago.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Jason and Danielle Ebbert have another reason to love tailgating with their friends and fellow Indianapolis Colts fans before every home game.

The couple from Morristown got engaged while hanging out with the Colts Disciples tailgating group in the parking lot of Victory Field before the Colts and Patriots game two years ago.

"[The] next thing I know, I turn around and Jason was on one knee.   I had no idea.  Everyone that was here knew and there were probably 60 people here that day," says Danielle Ebbert, who says she was overcome with emotion.

"I probably cried for about two hours," as Danielle giggles recounting the moment.

Danielle says she didn't care that evening when the Colts lost to the New England Patriots 34-27.

However she was insistent beforehand that she had wanted the proposal to happen elsewhere.

"The one thing I told him was I don't want it to happen during tailgating.  But he knew it was the right way to do it and I'm glad he did.  We had everyone there that we loved [and] it made it that much more special," says Danielle.

The two were married June 3, 2017.

Danielle says the two plan to celebrate the anniversary of their proposal with the Colts Disciples before the start of the Colts game this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
