Motorcyclist Dies In Crash After Police Chase

Friday night crash happened near the Hamilton/Hancock County line
A motorcyclist died after a police chase that ended in a crash near the Hamilton-Hancock County line.  
 
Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger says the chase started in Fortville around 9pm Friday, where an officer saw the motorcyclist speeding.  The officer drove after the cyclist, but instead came upon the scene of a crash at 96th Street and Olio Road.
 
Weger says the motorcyclist was knocked off his bike after he crossed into oncoming traffic and hitting a truck head on.  The biker was then hit by a Ford F-150 pickup truck, and the motorcycle struck another car.  The name of the motorcyclist has not been released. and no one else was hurt.
