Mozel Sanders Foundation In Need of $50,000 for Thanksgiving Day Dinner Event

About $80,000 will be needed to hand out dinners on Thanksgiving Day to more than 40,000 people.

INDIANAPOLIS – More than 40,000 people will be fed this Thanksgiving during the Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Day dinner event, but the organization has called on the community to help them reach their annual fundraising goal.

About $80,000 will be needed to hand out dinners on Thanksgiving Day, and Mozel Sanders still needs $50,000.

“A lot of people have no idea of how many individuals actually go hungry every day of the year," said Cullen Simpson, Mozel Sanders’ volunteer executive chef. “For us to be able to have a presence on Thanksgiving Day, it means a lot."

Those who would like to donate can do so by texting “mozel” to 313131. People in need of meals can make their request by calling (317) 636-7985.
