One Dead After Shooting on City's North Side

Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city's north side Friday night.

Officers were called shortly before 8:00 p.m. to the 4000 block of Meadows Drive, near 38th and Rural Streets, on an anonymous tip that a man was suffering some "apparent trauma."  When they arrived, officers found an unidentified man unresponsive in a car parked in empty lot.

The victim had been shot and EMS personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police have not released any suspect information or a motive for the shooting.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
