One Person Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Avon

Avon police said the crash happened on Dan Jones Road, about one-half mile south of U.S. 36/Rockville Road.

AVON, Ind. -- One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Avon.

Avon police said the crash happened on Dan Jones Road, about one-half mile south of U.S. 36/Rockville Road.

The male driver was taken to IU Methodist Hospital but died of his injuries. He was the only person inside his vehicle.

Three people were inside the second vehicle and one of them was seriously injured.

Detectives did not release any information on the name of the man and are still trying to find out the cause of the crash.
