Over 60 Witnesses and Pieces of Evidence Filed in Aaron Bailey Civil Case
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has named their witnesses to testify in a civil lawsuit filed against two officers accused of shooting and killing Aaron Bailey during an attempted traffic stop last year.
In the federal court filing, IMPD has named 53 different witnesses in the case and 33 of those 53 are either police officers or detectives.
Attorneys for Aaron Bailey's family have also named 22 people to testify in the case, but say they will name more in the coming months.
Both sides have a combined 67 pieces of evidence that will be used in court so far.
Attorneys for Aaron Bailey's family also want the trial to be pushed back because they say they have not received depositions from the two officers involved in the shooting.
