Police: Decomposed Body Found in Vacant Lot

IMPD detectives are investigating a body which was found decomposed on the city's near northeast side Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of North Columbia Avenue on a report of a body found in a vacant lot.  Police say due to the extent of the decomposition of the body, the sex, race and age of the person are unknown.  An autopsy will be performed.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
