Police Investigating Death of Rush County Inmate

Authorities say the man had a "medical episode" and later died.

RUSH COUNTY, Ind--Indiana State Police will investigate the death of an inmate in the Rush County Jail.

30-year-old Shane Michael Koors was arrested early Friday morning when an active warrant was discovered during a traffic stop in Franklin County.

He was transferred later by a Rush County Deputy. Upon arrival at the jail, he suffered some kind of "medical episode" and was taken by ambulance to Rush Memorial Hospital where he died.

An autopsy was completed on Friday but the results have not been released.
