INDIANAPOLIS-– A pregnant woman and her little boy are okay after they both nearly drowned yesterday in Indianapolis. Investigators say the woman, who is six months pregnant, was walking with her three-year-old son around the pool at the Brentwood Apartments.
That is not far from Thompson Road and East Street on the south side of Indy.
The Indianapolis Fire Department says the boy slipped and fell into the pool and the mother went in after him. That’s when Jennifer Potter, the assistant manager of the apartment complex went in after both of them.
She got the boy out first and then pulled the woman to safety.
The mom and toddler were taken to the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
