State Health Commissioner Resigns

State health commissioner William VanNess is resigning.

In a written statement, VanNess says he's stepping down "with regret and for strictly personal reasons.

"VanNess was CEO of Community Hospital of Anderson for 16 years before joining Governor Pence's Cabinet last year. He says he expects to stay on another six weeks or so while Pence searches for a replacement.
