"They Even Took My Dog's Food": South Side Man and Grandson Robbed

Richard Bowen says he heard a noise and thought it was his grandson. When he got to the kitchen, four men busted in.

INDIANAPOLIS--"They even took my dog's food," recounted Richard Bowen, 58, as he talked about being tied up, along with his grandson, while crooks ransacked his home in south Indianapolis on East Bradbury, Wednesday morning about 3 o'clock.

He heard a noise, went to see what it was, and four men busted in and tied Bowen and his 15-year-old grandson up.

"They told me not to move," said Bowen. "I didn't move. They said they'd shoot us."

The thieves took thousands of dollars worth of tools, a gun, TVs and Bowen's 2003 Dodge Ram, which was the only vehicle he had.

Bowen said he's thankful that he and his grandson lived through it.\
