Three People and One Dog Killed in Franklin County Plane Crash

The crash is still under investigation.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind--A small plane crash in rural Franklin county, north of Batesville killed 3 people and even claimed the life of one dog. It happened around 9 pm Saturday night. 

One dog did survive. 

The plane was a single engine Cessna, going from Missouri to Maryland. It is unclear as to what made the plane crash. 

Indiana State Police, the Federal Aviation Association, and the National Transportation Safety Board are all working together to find out what happened. 

Sergeant Stephen Wheeles had this to say on Twitter. 

"Three people/one dog were killed in Franklin Co plane crash. One dog survived. Plane was single engine Cessna going from Missouri to Maryland. ISP is working with FAA and NTSB. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims' families."
