Two People Shot in Indianapolis; Both are in the Hospital

The victims are a man and a woman.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were shot Thursday morning on Indianapolis' near-west side. 

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m., in the 600 block of N. Eugene Street near 30th and Martin Luther King Street. 

According to a spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the two victims were taken to different hospitals. The victims were a man and a woman. 

The man is in stable condition while the woman is in critical condition. 

The incident is under investigation.
