State Excise Police crackdown at BSU

Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested 18 people for underage drinking during a tailgate party at Ball State University yesterday (30 Aug 14).  State Excise officers made the arrests in the tailgating parking lots near Scheumann Stadium, where the Cardinals beat the Colgate Raiders.  State Excise Police say their primary mission is to enforce the state's Alcoholic Beverage Code, focusing on alcohol and tobacco-related issues.  The main reason they concentrate on alcohol and tobacco matters is because they are significant contributors to diminishing public health.
