Woman Arrested For Man's Murder Blocks From The Children's Museum
Monica Hampton was initially a "person of interest" in the shooting death of Jermaine Taylor at 30th and Delaware Streets.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police have arrested 33-year-old Monica Hampton in the shooting death of 37-year-old Jermaine Taylor.
Hampton was a person of interest in Taylor's death. Taylor was shot and killed around 8 a.m. Wednesday near 30th and Delaware Streets.
She came in to speak to detectives about her alleged involvement and was subsequently arrested on a preliminary murder charge.
The case now goes to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office for review.
The city of Indianapolis has had five murders so far in 2018. This is the first murder that has resulted in an arrest this year.
