Al-Qaeda Urges U.S. Hostage's Family To Push For Prisoner Exchange

(Undated) -- Al-Qaeda wants the family of an American hostage to pressure the Obama administration for a prisoner exchange. The terrorist network posted an online message today urging the family of Warren Weinstein to press Washington officials on exchanging al-Qaeda members being held at Guantanamo Bay to secure his release. Weinstein was working for a U.S. consulting company in Lahore, Pakistan when he was kidnapped by al-Qaeda in 2011. The online message also warns that if the government won't negotiate, Weinstein may die "a lonely death in prison."
