Death Of James Brady Ruled A Homicide

(Washington, DC) -- The death of former White House Press Secretary James Brady is being ruled a homicide. The Washington, DC medical examiner's office has ruled that Brady died as a result of wounds suffered in the Ronald Reagan assassination attempt in 1981. Brady was left partially paralyzed in the attack, and he died earlier this week. The homicide ruling could result in new charges against would-be assassin John W. Hinckley. Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the assassination attempt and has been treated at a psychiatric hospital.
