Hawaii's Governor Confident In Hurricane Preparations

(Undated) -- Hawaii's governor says his state is prepared for the first of what may be two hurricane strikes.
Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie said he's very confident in the preparations that have been made, and Hawaiians can expect real time information that will help them protect their families. Hurricane Iselle is expected to hit Hawaii's Big Island as a Category One storm with driving rain, rough surf, whipping winds and up to 12 inches of flooding. Landfall is expected to take place late this afternoon in Hawaii or in the early evening.

Hurricane Julio is further east of Hurricane Iselle. It has maximum sustained winds of 105 miles an hour and is about 12-hundred miles from the Big Island.

Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie says resources are positioned to provide immediate help if necessary. Abercrombie says he's very confident in the preparations that have been made. Play Clip
