House Passes Bill On Tax Reform; Awaiting Vote From Senate On Their Version

The House passed tax reform by a 227-205 vote

WASHINGTON  --  The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to pass the Republican tax bill.

The House voted 227-to-205 to approve the bill.  Thirteen Republicans voted against the bill and no Democrats voted for it.

Tax overhaul still faces major challenges in the Senate, where Republican Senators have included a repeal of the Obamacare Individual Mandate in their version of the bill, which is still being marked up in the Senate Finance Committee.

President Trump visited the Capitol this morning to rally Republican support.
