Lying On Resumes Is Common

(Undated) -- Many job-seekers appear to be lying on their resumes. A new Harris Poll out today says close to 60 percent of hiring managers have found lies in the resumes they've looked at lately. One-third of employers are also noticing an increase in resume "embellishments" as job candidates try to fudge on their skills and accomplishments. According to the survey job candidates in financial services are the biggest liars, while retail employees tend to lie the least.
