NFL Suspends Wes Welker

(New York, NY) -- Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will miss four games for violation of the NFL's policy against performance-enhancing drugs. Pro Football Talk reports Welker took a Molly that was cut with amphetamines while at the Kentucky Derby. He tested positive for the PED and lost his appeal, which took place two weeks ago. He will not be permitted to practice with the team during the suspension. The 33-year-old will be eligible to return in Week Six as the Broncos have a bye week in Week Four.
