Obama Sends Kerry To Middle East

(Washington, DC) -- President Obama is again defending Israel's right to defend itself against rocket attacks from Hamas. Speaking this morning from the White House, Obama also noted serious concerns about the loss of civilian life in the ongoing conflict. He said Secretary of State John Kerry is on his way to the Middle East to press for an immediate ceasefire. Hundreds of Palestinians have died as a result of shelling and an intensifying Israeli ground invasion in Gaza. Several Israeli soldiers have also been killed.
