Obamacare Official Likely Deleted Emails House Panel Wants

(Undated) -- One of the key officials in last fall's botched rollout of Healthcare.gov probably deleted emails a House committee now wants to see. The Department of Health and Human Services said on Thursday that emails belonging to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services director Marilyn Tavenner might not be "retrievable." HHS confirmed that in a letter to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa.
HHS officials believe the deletions were due to sloppy record-keeping, rather than an attempt to conceal information. Tavenner's agency runs the ObamaCare exchanges.
