Schumer Calls On FEMA To Help Long Island Flood Victims

(Islip, NY) -- New York Senator Charles Schumer is calling on FEMA to help flood victims following Wednesday's record rainfall on Long Island. Schumer says he'll make sure the feds bail out water-logged Long Islanders. Most of the Nassau and Suffolk homeowners affected have learned that their homeowners' insurance won't help them because they did not have flood insurance.
