State Dept Again Defends U.S. Talks With Iran Over Iraq

(Washington, DC) -- The State Department is again defending U.S. talks with Iran over the crisis in Iraq.
State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki argued that the U.S. and Iran have a shared interest in the stability of Iraq. Psaki insisted that U.S. talks with Iran never included the possibility of Iran being involved in Iraq militarily. She said the U.S. has also been talking with other nations in the region.
