Trump Warned By Muslim Leaders Against Moving U.S. Embassy in Jersualem

One leader says it is a danger to stability in the region and in the world.

WASHINGTON, DC --  Arab leaders are condemning President Trump's apparent decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The White House says Trump will make a formal declaration sometime today, recognizing the holy city as Israel's capital.  King Salman of Saudi Arabia reportedly called the move a "dangerous step," that was likely to inflame the passions of Muslims around the world because of the great status of Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Jordan's King Abdullah issued a statement saying Trump's decision would have "dangerous repercussions" on the stability and security of the region, and would obstruct U.S. efforts to resume Arab-Israeli peace talks.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas says the move was a danger to stability in the region and in the world.
