UCSB Classes Cancelled For "Mourning And Reflection"

(Santa Barbara, CA) -- The University of California-Santa Barbara community will gather this afternoon to remember six students killed in a rampage near campus. A memorial service organized by students, staff, and faculty, is scheduled for 4 p.m. Pacific time at Harder Stadium. UC Santa Barbara officials are declaring today a "Day of Mourning and Reflection." Friday's tragedy is also reigniting gun control debates around the country. The National Rifle Association remains tight-lipped about the shooting and stabbings in which 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed six people and hurt 13 others in a murderous rampage before shooting himself Friday night.
