Washington Representative Wants Caution When Fighting ISIS

(Undated) -- Representative Adam Smith says forming coalitions with Arab nations is the best way to deal with ISIS. The ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee told CBS' "Face the Nation" building such coalitions will take time. Smith said attacking ISIS in Syria could have the unintended effect of helping Syrian president Bashar al-Assad . He adds airstrikes could lead to support for ISIS by Iraqi Sunnis and the United States can't simply "bomb now and ask questions later."
