WHO Declares Ebola An International Health Risk

(Geneva) -- The World Health Organization is declaring the Ebola epidemic an international health risk. The global health agency also is calling the Ebola virus an "extraordinary event" that is "particularly serious" because it's already killed almost one-thousand people in four West African countries. The W-H-O is calling for a coordinated international response to stop and reverse the spread of Ebola. Meantime, a Spanish priest infected with the Ebola virus is the first victim of the current outbreak to arrive in Europe.
